- Metric sizes are used for bolts, nuts, and spanners. An “M10” bolt means the thread’s outer diameter is 10 mm.
- Imperial sizes are measured in inches or fractions of an inch. A “1/2 inch” socket fits a bolt head roughly 12.7 mm across.

Screwdriver Bits – Choosing the Right Type
